Where did November go?! I don't know about everyone else, but it seems that this year has flown by!The 3rd Annual Jingle Bell Shop Hop is coming Thursday November 29th thru Saturday December 1st. Each shop will give out a free Christmas ornament pattern and a cookie recipe. You can buy a kit for the Christmas ornament for $3 each. What a great way to start your Christmas shopping. If you need a gift, but don't have the time, let us help! We can put together quilt kits, notions, books etc. and we'll put them in a nice decorative display ready for giving. Just let us know your price range and let us do the work for you!
Ovarian cancer awareness and research update: Go to our web site for all the info for the Ovarian Cancer Awareness campaign. We have 6 tops left for volunteers to quilt.
You don't have to bind it, we can do that for you. But we need them back by mid February 2008. Come by and pick one up if you can. The online auction that MD Anderson is handling will be in March 2008!
Idea Saturday is the 3rd Saturday, January 19th at 9am sharp! Come for at least 5 ideas and get the instructions for each idea FREE! Logan will make his egg tortillas and we will have juice, so come have breakfast and get some new Ideas! A big thanks to all of you who came to our last Idea Saturday and we hope that you enjoyed it and most importantly were inspired to get sewing!
New Notions: The Side Winder portable bobbin winder is here. They are $29.99, what a great addition to your notions! Come see one today. We now carry all the YO YO makers! The hearts, flowers and circles and they come in 2 different sizes. They are fun and fast and so easy to make! We will be getting in some more Square in a Square rulers, what a great tool! We have them on order, let us know if you want one reserved for you. They are $19.95.
One Yard Hugs: What a blessing is all we can say! All of the customers and volunteers have made a tremendous outpouring of love for this campaign. We have received 276 one yard hugs so far! We are asking our WONDERFUL customers to donate One Yard Hugs again this year for the preemie babies in the neonatal units of Houston area hospitals. All you have to do is buy a yard of flannel fabric and finish the raw edges all around, how easy is that. Our goal this year is to donate 300! Last year we donated 219. We will collect them through December 15th. A big Thank You to all who have contributed. A special thanks to the Tri County Quilt Guild for donating 89 hugs!! What a wonderful surprise and we are so grateful. SunFlower Quilts knows how important it is to give back to the community, there are so many people and organizations in need and we will continue to help in any way we can thanks to our customers and volunteers. This could not be done without you!!
Upcoming Classes: We have added a new class called County Lines, what a fun quilt to make, what a great way to start the New Year with a fun quilt. Not only that Lorrie Sanwald is a wonderful teacher! If you are interested in having another One Block Wonder class please let us know. It was so popular that Cindy Campbell said she would offer the class again. Check the classes page on the web site, as we will be adding more classes! We are so blessed to have some great teachers! You not only learn specific techniques but also learn many tips and make new friends that can last a lifetime and its just good fun!

That Quilter Donna Warnement will be here the 1st Tuesday December 4th from 10 till noon. Come bring your tops for quilting or pick one up that's been quilted. Come for show and tell, you will be inspired seeing all the quilts!
Upcoming Events: We are going to start a Charm Club in January 2008. Don't know what to make with all those pre cut charm squares, then this is the club for you. We are working on all the details now and more info will be coming soon.
We will be closed Monday and Tuesday December24th =9625th for the Christmas Holiday.
Come on Wednesday Dec. 26th for our annual after Christmas sale 1 day only. Everything will be on sale!
Block of the Month Kits: The November Flower of the month kits are ready and the December Sunbonnet Sue BOM kits will be ready Dec. 15th.
Logan and I want to thank you for your friendships, business and support!! We would not be here without you. We wish every one of you a very happy and blessed Christmas! We want to let you know we expect 2008 to be a great year with lots of new events coming! What a great opportunity to be sewing. The fabrics aren=92t just for quilts anymore! Expand your sewing for home decorating items, clothing, cloth crafts such as postcards, dolls, stuffed animals and of course quilts!!
