SunFlower Quilts October 2006 Newsletter

October is here and fall is in the air! Why not make a fall quilt or table runner? We have fall kits made up, or we will make a kit with your choice of fabrics for you.

Annual Fat Quarter Sale

Our annual fat 1/4 sale is Saturday, October 14th from 9am until 4pm. All fat 1/4's will be $1.25 each. There are no minimums. Fat 1/4 bundles and Batik fat 1/4's are not included in the sale. We will not be able to cut fat 1/4's the day of the sale. Be sure to put it on your calendar so you can stock up!

International Quilt Festival Houston

We are selling International Quilt Festival tickets this year, cash or checks only, no charges. The Quilt Festival is approaching fast. The dates are Nov.1st through the 5th. It is held in the George R. Brown Convention Center here in downtown Houston. Click for more information, also available is a festival schedule.

Quilt Pink

Thanks to all for making our Quilt Pink effort such a wonderful success. We only have a few quilt tops left waiting to be quilted and bound. If you are interested to quilt one of these tops, please let us know. The quilts need to be completed and returned to the shop by Jan. 15th, 2007. We will have around 50 quilts to donate for the online auction in February. As soon as we find out all of the details, we will let you know. Everyone has been so wonderful in participating in Quilt Pink, a big thanks to all for your hard work, it has truly been a blessing!

Thimbleberries Club News

The Thimbleberries club will meet the second Sunday, Oct. 8th or the second Friday, Oct. 13th. We will also have info about the Thimbleberries club next year. It is a great looking quilt. Come by, call or email us to get the details for next year's club.

Fall Quilting Classes Still Available

There are some great classes scheduled for this fall. Check them out and sign up before they are full.

Moda U Postcard Mystery Quilt

The Moda U Postcard Mystery Quilt club will meet on Saturday Oct. 28th from 4-5pm. It is fun to get together and learn about Moda merchandise. You can still join if you are interested. The cost is $8 per month.

That Quilter

Sorry we didn't get the October newsletter out in time for "That Quilter" Donna Warnement who came on the first Tuesday from 10-noon. She will be back in November, but please take note she will be here the 2nd Tuesday instead of the first Tuesday. This is due to International Quilt Festival being held the 1st week of November.
