SunFlower Quilts August 2006 Newsletter
Moda University Mystery Postcard Quilt Club
Announcing Moda University Mystery Postcard Quilt Club. Everyone loves fabric, right? Do you like all of the wonderful designers for Moda? Do you love the colors, textures and luscious feel of Moda fabrics? Do you enjoy sewing blocks together and a good mystery? Then you will definitely want to sign up for Moda U's Mystery Postcard Quilt Club. Here's how it works:
We will meet the last Saturday of each month from 4-5pm. Each month you will receive a kit of Moda fabrics and instructions on a great postcard designed by Moda. The cost is $8 per month, and that includes the cost of the finishing kit you will receive the 12th month. The finished size of the quilt will be 64 inch square. But you won't know what it looks like because its a Mystery!
The first half of the club meeting will consist of reviewing the month's block, show and tell (please bring something you have made) and introducing you to the latest Moda merchandise. Being a Moda U club member means you will see new Moda first! The second half of the meeting SunFlower Quilts will be open for your own personal shopping pleasure. The first meeting is Saturday August 26th from 4-5pm. Come by the shop, email us or call us to sign up and get additional info.

Quilt Pink Update
We would like to give thanks to all of you who have contributed nearly 200 Quilt Pink blocks so far for our joint effort to help in breast cancer research. You have until Sept 23rd to continue this wonderful opportunity to make as many blocks as possible to come together in quilts that will not only raise money for breast cancer research but also will be loved and cherished by all who participate. Please consider helping in our sew-in on Sept 24th in a number of capacities. We need quilt top designers, fabric cutters, piecers, pressers, help with refreshments and support and encouragement! We are very excited about Quilt Pink and will have more details in next month's newsletter. As always, if you have any questions please feel free to contact us. We also have more information on our web site.
