May is here, where did April go? Summer is fast approaching, it is time to start thinking about summer quilting and sewing.

Fabric Kits

We have some great kits for you; all the fabrics are picked out and coordinate. We have the Summertime Stars kit featuring Moda’s Faded Memories fabric, the 63 Squares quilt and the Bluebonnet Strip quilt. Some of the kits are already pre-cut; all you have to do is start sewing!

More New Fabrics

We’ve been getting in lots of new fabrics. Marcus Brother’s Indigo Gardens has beautiful red rose prints, stripe, paisley and and small print coordinates! From Moda fabrics we have Cosmic Cats, Flutter Fantasy, Elements, Blackbird Designs, Old Fashioned Charm. Benartex- Fossil Ferns; Blank Textiles- Bugs; RJR-Thimbleberries 108” wide backings, Parade Day and Sedona Skies. Jinny Beyer-Four Seasons; South Sea Imports- Robyn Pandolph Tickled Pink. We have pictures of the fabrics on our web site.

Idea Saturday

“Idea Saturday” is May 20th at 9am sharp. Come by and get those creative juices going! As always we will have free project sheets of each of the ideas presented and refreshments.

Block of the Month News

The Christmas Block of the Month kits are ready as well as the last Thangles Buck a Block kits. We will be starting a new BOM called Log Cabin Sampler. It is our own design, exclusive to SunFlower Quilts; we will have the quilt on display in the shop by the end of May and plan to start the BOM series in June 2006!

Sumer Class Schedule Now Online!

The summer class schedule is ready to view on the web site or come by the shop for a copy. We are offering more classes this summer than we ever have before, if you have been thinking about taking a class, be sure to check out the list.

"That Quilter"

“That Quilter” Donna Warnament will be here the 2nd Tuesday, May 9th from 10-noon. Please make a note: she will be here the 2nd Tuesday NOT the 1st Tuesday in May only.

Wild Wild West Shop Hop in June

We’re getting ready for the Wild Wild West Shop Hop June 16-25. It will last for 10 days this year and there are 3 new shops added. We have more information on our home page.

Thimbleberries Club

The Thimbleberries Club will meet on Sunday May 7th at 2PM and Friday May 12th at 6PM. The meetings, as usual, will be held at the shop.

Frequent Buyer Card

We have decided to start a frequent buyer card to benefit our wonderful customers. We will keep the cards on file here at the shop and when you spend $500, you will receive a $50 gift certificate from SunFlower Quilts! Come by and ask us about the details for the frequent buyer club.
